Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence Sdn Bhd (SCOPE) is inviting qualified training providers to express their interest in delivering the following training programmes.

Programme 1: Foundations of Data Management in Excel

This programme should focus on building confidence in navigating the software, managing data effectively, and performing essential data operations. Participants will also learn to create clear and simple visualisations to enhance their understanding of data.

By this end of this programme, participants will be able to:

·                Navigate and use basic features and interface of Microsoft Excel.

·                Create, modify and format worksheets and workbooks for efficient data organisation.

·                Use key functions such as SUM, AVERAGE and COUNT to perform essential calculations.

·                Apply sorting and filtering to organise dataset effectively.

·                Design basic charts and graphs for clear data presentation.

·                Implement data validation to ensure data integrity and consistency.

·                Understand and apply basic file sharing and protection methods for secure collaboration.

Programme 2: Advanced Data Management and Analysis in Excel

This programme should focus on equipping participants with tools and techniques for handling complex data and creating insightful reports. This programme will emphasize on automation, dynamic analysis and interactive dashboards to address real-world business operations’ challenges effectively.

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:

•          Leverage advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH and logical formulas for sophisticated analysis.

•          Perform data cleaning using tools like Text-to-Columns and Flash Fill for improved dataset quality.

•          Develop and customise PivotTables and PivotCharts for in-depth data exploration..

•          Use conditional formatting to highlight key trends and anomalies.

•          Protect and validate data to enhance accuracy and reliability.

•          Automate repetitive processes using macros and introduction to VBA.

•          Consolidated data across multiple files and sheets for comprehensive reporting.

•          Import external data using Power Query and prepare it for analysis.

•          Design and implement dynamic dashboards with slicers, timeline and visualisation for interactive presentations.

Programme 3: Excel-Driven Big Data Mastery: Unlock the Power of Data Modelling

This programme should be able to equip Excel users with advanced skills in managing, analysing and modelling large datasets. The programme aims to bridge foundational spreadsheet knowledge with cutting-edge techniques for handling big data efficiently. Through hands-on sessions, participants will explore dynamic tools, visualisation methods and data integration strategies, empowering them to transform raw data into actionable insights and impactful reports.  

By the end of this programme, participants will be able to:

•          Understand Big Data concepts and their practical application within Excel.

•          Manage and prepare large datasets for analysing using advanced Excel tools like Power Query.

•          Apply advanced Excel functions and formulae for efficient data modelling.

•          Create dynamic dashboards and reports with interactive visuals and storytelling elements.

•          Integrate Excel with external systems, such as Power BI and relational databased for enhanced data capabilities.

•          Leverage automation tools such as macros and VBA to streamline repetitive tasks.

•          Apply best practices for scalable and efficient data modelling tailored to real-world scenarios.
