Today every business managers/senior executives at various levels of the organisation must have a fair understanding of finance to perform better & add value to their organisations. Gone are the days where the organisational “watchdog” for Finance was the Finance Department. With the concept of responsibility accounting, non-finance managers are also depended upon to make quick and reliable decisions on financial issues within their own scope of responsibility.

Therefore, non-finance managers/ senior executives also need to operate more strategically, managing the growth and risk in their organisations and therefore must have the necessary financial skills and knowledge to effect change & add value to their business in the short and long term.
