KUCHING, 6th-7th September 2023: Sarawak Centre of Performance Excellence (SCOPE) had organised a program on “Negotiating and Leading Across Boundaries” by Mr. Samuel Kim, Founding President of the Center of Asia Leadership.
The Negotiating and Leading Across Boundaries Program delves into the science of negotiation. This program is an intensive simulation-based course led by Samuel, a Harvard Kennedy School Alumni, provides an immersive, highly interactive program that opens your eyes to a new way of thinking about and conducting negotiation and mediation. The program is organised for 2 days from 6th to 7th September 2023 at SCOPE’s Seminar Room.
Samuel oversees over 50 projects annually for the Center for Asia Leadership. The Center’s mission is to help key leaders in multiple spheres inn Asia, build robust framework, devise effectives policies and formulate new strategies for increasing communities’ growth and sustainability. He also co-leads the annual Asian Leadership Conference (ALC) and Asia Leadership Forum (ALF), in which over 350 global leaders representing 280 entities from 70 countries, along with 3,000 in-person and over 100,000 online participants, join forces to discuss solutions for the world’s most pressing problems.
This program engages participants in theory and practice through a variety of real-life simulation cases, peer coaching and in-depth discussions to develop in them deal-making competence and its practical use that generates values. Participants also discusses on the kinds of strategies and competence that participants require to be highly effective negotiations and mediations.
The program was attended participants from various sectors including the Sarawak Civil Services, Government-Link Companies and Private Sectors.
One of SCOPE’s upcoming training program is “How to Think Like a Strategist: Developing Foresight for Your Organization” with Samuel Kim. This program will share from a practitioner’s point of view on the main principles of foresight including approaches by which the participants can learn about the future and study trends, drivers and signals of change.
